Self Destruction

I haven't taken any pictures for a few weeks now because I couldn't find the motivation to do it anymore. But this morning I decided to give it a try. I got in my car and started driving towards Mt. Rainer and on the way there I got pulled over for driving in the carpool lane and for speeding but I was able to talk my way out of the speeding ticket but I couldn't do it with the carpool lane ticket. I got the ticket and moved on my way and ended up at this house. I don't know what in the hell happened to this little house because all the houses around it were totally fine except this one. After these pictures I got in my car and went home. I'm still trying to find that spark again because I don't want to give up photography. Maybe leaving to North Dakota will help with the spark. All of these pictures have been cross-processed, so click on them to see them in a larger size.

Swag is for boys. Class is for men.

I wanted to go out shooting but just didnt have the energy. I got in my car and just started driving around like i always do and try to find something cool to shoot. I wanted to take a picture of the mountain because of the clouds that it had over but couldn't find a clear shot of it, so I just started driving towards it till i find a good shot. I was driving for two hours without finding the right shot. I was so lost that i did not have any clue how in the hell to get back. I was trying to find my way back and ended up at a place where it was a field of nothing but stumps but some trees in the far. I got up on the tallest stump i could and just started clicking away, then i got off and went onto another stump and did the same thing there. I took over 50 pictures in a twenty minute span. It then took me an hour to find my way back home. The best time to do things is when you dont want to them.

Driving With No Map

Got in my car and drove around for almost three hours till I found this place. Its a hidden and there are no houses around there. On the side of the road where I parked my car, because I had to walk to this view, there were two dead chickens on the side of the road. I'm guessing this is not the place to come to watch the sunset. (Click on the image to make it bigger)

The Drive

There is something about seeing an old abandoned car or house that makes me want to take photos of it. I would go out on long drives and just look for places that have been abandoned and vandalized, and something inside me would force me to pull over and take pictures of it. The old and rusty car has been through a lot and it will tell thousand of stories if it could talk, but it can't so I took pictures of them so you can use your imagination to think of one.

Passion

To be successful, you have to take risks to get what you really desire. You have to be willing to give up anything you have to for what really matters to you. It might be money, time, friends, parties, or a secure job. You will have people standing in your way telling you that it cant be done but you have to learn how to shut those people out and let the people that will help guide you to your destination in. Go after what you have always wanted. When you are at the last minutes of your life its better to know that you tried so fucking hard to go after your dream then it is to think of all the what if's. You have one life to do anything you have ever wanted to, and you can do those things that you want. You just have to believe in yourself that you can do it and don't listen to the people that are not doing anything but sit around and bring everybody else down. Take some time out to think about what will really make you happy in this world and take the step by writing it down. Make a blueprint of what it will take to achieve it and follow it. Work your ass off for it because nothing great in life has come from being lazy. It takes hard work.

The Tree's That Just Wont Fit In

What I think of when I look at these tree's, is that they don't want to fit in like the others around them. They want to be different and noticed from the crowd. They want to be seen as something amazing and not be overlooked and thought of as just the normal. They are the outcast's, but the outcast are the ones that enjoy their life's the most because they don't follow rules and they make up their own. Be inspired.

The Magic Hour

It was one of the best days of we had here in Tacoma in a while and I wasn't going to waste it. I went out to the Titlow park and waited for the magic hour. For you that don't know what the magic hour is its half hour before sunset and half hour after the sunset. When the sky is yellow and orange. I found a great dock, but it said no trespassing, so I did what I always do. Do what I'm not suppose to. I went on the dock and had my Ipod in and was taking a bunch of shots, trying to get the right one. While I was shooting I heard some noise through my headphones, so I took them out and saw a lady standing on the beach yelling, "Get the hell off the dock! Cant you see it says no trespassing?! Get the hell off!" I packed my stuff up as fast as possible and left.
I left the dock and found a great view of the Narrows Bridge. I was clicking away trying to find the right shot to take when the magic hour came. I found one and the magic hour came and I tried to get the best pic I could of the narrows bridge. I also clicked away on some pictures of the clouds for the hell of it.(Click on the image to make it bigger)

Looking At The World From Upside Down

One day, I was reading a book about a person and his journey with discovering photography and he mentioned about how he took a picture and flipped it upside down to show reflection on the water on top of the picture instead of the bottom. I went out on a day with clear blue sky and found a local pond to go take some pictures. I took a few good ones but I will only post two of them. I took the picture and cropped the land out right where it starts and then I flipped the picture 180 degrees. Let me know how you like it and what you think of it.

The Beginning

I started photography almost five months ago, on accident. Over the summer, my Girlfriend and I, took a trip to Greece. I was using my android phone a lot to take pictures of our surroundings. After a while, I started to mess around with some of the effects that my phone had to offer. I was using sepia and a lot of B&W. I was trying to get the best shots I could possibly get. On that trip I realized that I wanted to tryout photography. I was never good with holding a hobby for more then a few days or a few weeks. When we got back to the states, I saved up some money and went out and bought my self a beginner camera. Canon SX40 HS. Its not an SLR because when I was at the store the sales lady saw how lost I was with an SLR camera and turned me to the Cannon. I loved it from that moment and bought it. I went out shooting a bunch of random pictures. The first day I must have shot over 300 pictures and I didn't know what I should delete because I thought they were all good. I didn't delete any, and posted them all on my facebook. All my friends said that they were all good, even my girlfriend. But come to find out a few months later that she didn't like them at all. I went out the next day and shot more, but I shot less because I realized what is a good shot and what is an average shot. I took almost 200 pictures that day. Everyday since then, I shoot less and less pictures but I spend more time looking for the right shot. Over time I developed an eye for taking good pictures. At least that's what people tell me. Ive been getting good feedback on my photography with my friends, so I decided that I would try starting my own blog and share them with the world.
